Chernobyl Ant Fly Tying Video
This is a great all around summer attractor or hopper imitation. This color scheme has been a great all purpose color for me. The Chernobyl Ant seems to imitate a variety of big terrestrial insects- hoppers, crickets, flying ants, and big beetles. I tie the Chernobyl Ant in sizes in sizes 8-14.
Materials:
- Hook: Daiichi 1280
- Thread: Ultra Thread 140
- Body: 2 mm Black foam over brown foam
- Legs: Round rubber legs
- Indicator/Sighter: 2 mm Orange foam
