Chernobyl Ant Fly Tying Video

Chernobyl Ant Fly Tying Video

This is a great all around summer attractor or hopper imitation. This color scheme has been a great all purpose color for me. The Chernobyl Ant seems to imitate a variety of big terrestrial insects- hoppers, crickets, flying ants, and big beetles. I tie the Chernobyl Ant in sizes in sizes 8-14.

Materials:

  • Hook: Daiichi 1280
  • Thread: Ultra Thread 140
  • Body: 2 mm Black foam over brown foam
  • Legs: Round rubber legs
  • Indicator/Sighter: 2 mm Orange foam

Happy Tying
