Pike Fly Fishing School - April 19, 2016

We've had a few people book for our Pike fly fishing school, and have had quite a bit of interest in it! After mulling over how we should go about it, we've decided that the class will be a set date, and the guided trip will be flexible within a couple of the most prime weeks to chase pike! The class on fly tying and rigging will be held at the fly shop on April 19th at 6:00pm. We will go over rigging, knots, and basic pike fly fishing tactics, as well as show you how to tie a few of our favorite pike patterns. After you're primed for success by the class, you can pick the date that you choose to go out on the water after discussing the best options with your guide. We want you to experience pike fishing at it's best, so we'll be out scouting the current conditions and figuring out the best opportunities possible. Being a bit flexible with your dates is beneficial. The prices including the class are as follows -
  • Half Day - $299, 4 hours on the water. Includes transportation from Rapid City, boat, rods and flies, and drinks. Fishing license and gratuity not included.
  • Full Day - $475, 8 hours on the water. Includes transportation from Rapid City, boat, rods and flies, lunch and drinks. Fishing license and gratuity not included.
The pike school has already generated quite a bit of interest, so we're looking into offering a few more schools. Missouri River White Bass and Smallmouth School is quite possibly next on our list. If that tickles your fancy, give us a jingle and let us know what you're interested in! If you want to book a date for the Pike Fly Fishing School, give the shop a call or email. 605-341-2450, or email us at dakotaflyangler@gmail.com - we're looking forward to showing you the best Black Hills Pike fly fishing experience possible!
